NOKE SMART ENTRY

After renting a storage unit with us, you will receive an automated text message from us. If you have not received the text, please call us at (406) 794-4459. 

In the SMS message, click the link and download the Storage Smart Entry app.

  • Open the Storage Smart Entry by NOKE app.

  • Use the same login that you created when you booked your rental.

  • Your cell phone number that you received the text is your username. The 6 digit pin you are given, is your temporary password. You will be prompted to create a new password once you successfully login.
  • Verify your information and create a new password.

If you are having trouble locating the app. Go to your App Store or Google Play Store and search for “Storage Smart Entry”, download the app and follow the instructions above. 

  • Once logged in you will see a prompt pop up twice. Select “OK” to give the Storage Smart Entry app access to your Bluetooth and Location Services.
  • Note: Bluetooth Services MUST be turned on in the app to gain access to your storage unit.

Open the Main Gate

To access the facility:

  • Drive up to the main gate.
  • Open the Storage Smart Entry by NOKE app.

  • Select the gate
  • The icon for the gate should be blue if you are close enough to it.
  • When you touch the gate icon, it will turn green and the gate with open momentarily.

Gaining Access to your Storage Unit

To access your storage unit:

  • First, tap on the LED light on the smart lock of your storage unit to “wake it up”.  The lock will beep and light up.

  • Second, open the Storage Smart Entry app on your smartphone. 
  • Note: You will need Wi-FI or cellular signal to open the app.
  • Once you have completed these steps your smart lock will “wake” and the unit icon on your app will be highlighted. 
  • Tap on the highlighted icon to unlock and gain access through your storage unit door.

  • The lock will beep again.  Slide the latch open.  The door to your unit is now ready to open.

Lock your Unit

Close your Unit Door:

  • Close your Unit Door Completely.
  • Slide the latch shut.  The lock light will turn red.  The red light means the unit is locked.

Multi-Access with a Digital Key

If you are looking to share your digital Smart Entry Key with family and friends:

  • Press the plus sign on the top right corner of your Smart Entry app.

  • Press “Share Unit”. 
  • Put in the cell phone number of the trusted person you want to share your key with. 
  • Add in the unit or entrance that you want them to be able to enter through. 
  • Immediately after sharing access, the new user will receive an automated text message. This will include a link to Storage Smart. Your digital key will let them through the facility gates and into your storage unit. 

Tips and Tricks

Although using your smart storage unit is simple, here are some pointers to make it even easier:

  • Ensure that the Bluetooth option on your phone is enabled. Go to your phone’s general settings and scrolling down to the Storage Smart Entry app or by selecting Bluetooth
  • Verify the Location Services, through your phone’s general settings. 
  • No cellular service? Connect to your facility’s WIFI. Make sure to be connected before trying to open the app and access your unit. 
  • Forgot your login? You can reset your password by choosing "reset password" on the login screen.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Update to the latest version of the app. You can do this by searching Storage Smart Entry in the App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Close the app and log back in.
  • Turn Bluetooth off and on.
  • Refresh inside the NOKE app from within the application.
  • Restart your smartphone.

Getting Started with a New Account

If you are renting a 500-1300 level unit, after renting a storage unit with us, you will receive an automated text message from us. If you have not received the text, please call us at 412-467-0085. 

In the SMS message, click the link and download the app at https://urlgeni.us/storage.  The SMS message will look something like this:

If you did not receive an SMS message, search for “Storage Center” in your phone’s App Store (iOS or Android). 

Look for the icon that looks like this:

Step 2: Log In 

🔐 Open the Storage Center app and enter your phone number. 

📩 You’ll receive a 6-digit verification code via text. 

Enter the code to complete login.

Step 3: Unlock the Gate & Your Unit 

🚪 When you arrive at the facility, use the app to open the main gate.

🔓 Once you're at your unit, tap on the corresponding unit to open or close it. 

Step 4: How to Use the Smart Lock 

📲 Hold the back of your phone directly against the grey/black circle on the lock. 

🟦 The app will display a blue circle to guide where exactly to hold your phone. When you see a blue countdown, hold your phone still.
